Elisabeth Philips-Slavkoff is a colorist painter with an extensive background in art history and painting techniques. She experiments with the interaction between color, shape and material. Main sources of inspiration are the ever changing light
on the North Sea, her journeys in China and other travels. Following her study of traditional Chinese painting at the China Academy of Art in Hangzhou, she explores the fusion of Western and Chinese techniques, materials and compositions
